That Was Then…
Once upon a time games were played on tabletops and cardboard or plastic pieces, not computer screens (with rare exception). Star Fleet Bases or ‘SFB’ as it became known was a starship combat simulation ahead of its time.
Taking the captain’s chair you could face Klingons, Romulans, Gorn, and many more in ship-to-ship or fleet combat from The Orginal Series (TOS) era.
It basically played like this:
I began writing in the early 80s and in a short time had (and still have) the most number of published scenarios:
